Mum and Me magazine was born
out of the desire to support new mothers, with the aim of eventually
being able to support the groups they often rely upon.
Mum and Me magazine enables
new mums to access useful information without scary, sensationalist
stories and without being bombarded by advertising from large
corporations. The content supports gentle parenting and breastfeeding by
introducing positive role models and images.
Mum and Me magazine is
working towards assisting mothers’ peer support groups to raise funds
for themselves by selling copies of the magazine. It is a unique concept
in publishing and someone once said ‘it is like the Big Issue for
babies’ and they were spot on. Enabling peer support groups to be
partially self-sustaining is a major goal for the magazine project. We
believe very strongly in community support for new mums.
Many health professionals,
lactation consultants, peer supporters and mums, have expressed their
approval, support and enthusiasm for this project.
We strive to comply with the
WHO Code of Marketing of Breastmilk Substitutes. Please check on the

with it.
Mum & Me magazine is
independently owned and published. The magazine is managed by a single
person who relies on articles from other mums and professionals to bring
to you a diverse range of topics and depth of knowledge.
